Description:
This one-day course is a comprehensive hands-on overview of Data Analyzer, the Engineer’s Desktop’s ad-hoc querying application for Drilling & Completions. This course provides office and field users with a firm foundation in building and running queries against the EDM database, which enables engineers to realize value from data entered.

Intended For:
Engineers, business analysts, expert users, and administrators

Prerequisites:
Basic understanding of Drilling & Completions applications such as OpenWells

  • Navigate the Data Analyzer application and components
  • Customize the application layout
  • Identify Query types
  • Open and run Queries and Templates
  • Construct, manage and run Queries
  • Apply Conditions to returned results set
  • Configure picklists against Parameters
  • Build simple SQL expressions
  • Review and manipulate Query result sets
  • Display result sets in various graphical formats
  • Output results set to a 3rd party spreadsheet application
  • Group related queries into a Template
  • Construct Filters to modify query results set
  • Mark queries for use in iWellFile and 3DDrillView KM
