Description:
This five-day course will provide E&P data management and support staff with the skills needed to implement an automated corporate well data management solution using the Corporate Data Store, OpenWorks, PowerHub, PowerExplorer and Advanced Data Transfer suite of programs. The course presents and follows suggested workflows for implementing a common data management viewer (PowerExplorer), integration layer (PowerHub) and data transfer tool (Advanced Data Transfer). It also includes data migration and synchronization between Landmark, 3rd Party and spatial databases. In a hands-on, three-day workshop, participants will implement corporate well data flow through 3rd Party, CDS, OpenWorks and spatial databases.

Intended For:
Exploration and production data management and support professionals

Prerequisites:
Workstation (linux) and PowerExplorer familiarity. XML, SQL and scripting/programming knowledge recommended. Experience can be gained in Advanced Data Transfer, CDS and PowerHub customization.

  • Connect and browse data from 3rd-Party databases (PowerExplorer/PowerHub)
  • Write data to 3rd-Party databases (PowerExplorer/PowerHub)
  • Transfer data between 3rd-Party and Landmark databases (ADT)
  • Load ASCII data to Landmark databases (ADT)
  • Synchronize data between 3rd-Party and Landmark databases (ADT/PowerHub)
  • Synchronize data between CDS and OpenWorks (ADT)
  • Spatialize data to common spatial formats (PowerExplorer Spatializer)
  • Use PowerExplorer for data transfer QC and planning (PowerExplorer)
  • Manage PowerHub metadata and ADT configuration
  • Write basic Java programs using the PowerHub JDBC API (PowerHub)
  • Use PowerHub functions to manipulate E&P data (PowerHub)
