Description:
This two-day course will provide E&P data management and support staff with the skills necessary to populate, manage and synchronize data using Landmark’s Corporate Data Store (CDS) database. The course presents and follows suggested workflows for managing reference data (Reference Data Manager or RDM), data tranfer to/from CDS (Advanced Data Transfer or ADT), browse and mange CDS data (PowerExplorer) and synchronization to OpenWorks (ADT). In a hands-on, two-day workshop, participants will use Reference Data Manager, Advanced Data Transfer and PowerExplorer to cover the basic workflows for implementing a CDS solution.

Intended For:
Exploration and production data management and support professionals

Prerequisites:
Workstation (linux), PowerExplorer and OpenWorks data management familiarity. Experience can be gained in Advanced Data Transfer, Reference Data Manager and CDS.

  • Understand key concepts of corporate data management as implemented in CDS
  • Overview of the CDS data model
  • Understand differences between CDS and OpenWorks
  • Use RDM, ADT and PowerExplorer tools together to deliver corporate data workflows
  • Populate reference data in CDS (RDM)
  • Manage and manipulate CDS data (PowerExplorer)
  • Implement CDS data blending (PowerExplorer)
  • Use CDS QC annotation (PowerExplorer)
  • Transfer data between OpenWorks and CDS (ADT)
  • Apply string-substitution and other business rules during transfer (ADT)
  • Synchronize data from CDS to OpenWorks (ADT)
