Description:
The objectives of this one-day CasingSeat Course are to familiarize the participant with fundamental Casing Design principles, relevant Formation Parameters, Preliminary Casing Design criteria, Data entry, Rating Design criteria, Top Down and Bottom Up Methods, as well as Documenting and Analyzing the results. It contains: •Preliminary Casing Design Principles – theory, methodology, formation properties, wellbore temperatures and relation to kicks, wellpath design. •Preliminary Design - data gathering and interpretation, shoe depth and number of strings, minimum casing diameter, mud weight. •Getting Started - data entry, accessing help, preferences, units, inventories. •General Well and Formation Data - introductory dialogue boxes, pore pressure, fracture gradient, squeezing salt, undisturbedtemperature, deviation, doglegs, production data •Results and Reporting

Intended For:
Engineers with high level of work experience and with ability to use Windows based programs

Prerequisites:
Familiar with the practical aspects of preliminary casing design
