Description:
This comprehensive two-day course will provide an excellent overview of the DSS System. Employing a lab-based approach, DSS Introduction has been designed to shorten the learning curve for beginning users. This course covers a broad foundation of skills that provide the student with the tools to quickly monitor and analyze project performance by well, field, group, pattern, reservoir and any other variation of groupings desired.

Intended For:
Production/reservoir engineers, and engineering/geoscientist technicians involved in monitoring, surveillance and project performance analysis of oil/gas fields

Prerequisites:
Prior use of Windows. Oil/Gas industry experience is helpful.

Objectives: After this course, you should be able to:
 
  • Structure/organize databases and tables by learning how to link data, export/import/copy data, create new tables, create basic formulas and understand setting associated with the formulas
  • Create workbooks (production curves)
  • Use decline (forecasting) techniques
  • Create base, bubble, pie, montage and contour maps
  • Do basic reporting
  • Create subsurface and cross section displays
  • Save/copy the current screen display for printing or exporting
